I was doing my online tasks yesterday night when our local TV news said that there was a kid in Barili raped and killed by a Caucasian. I was not really listening because I was doing something important but this morning, I researched about it on the internet and I confirmed that it is true plus our neighborhood were talking about it when I bought our viand this morning. It was rumored that they he’s not contented in raping it, he also get the eyeballs and the kidneys of the kid. OMG! my heart really bleeds.

After my article about Baby Brianna in New Mexico, which makes my heart aches so much, here comes a child killed again. What makes this very sad is that, the crime happened here in Cebu where I am living now. Actually this place is 2 hours far from my place by bus. But Barili is still part of Cebu.

This 6-year-old girl named Ella Joy Pique found dead in Barangay Guibuangan in Barili town yesterday morning. It was said that the girl was missing since Tuesday.

She was from school going home with her 2 classmates when a black SUV stopped infront of the child and a Filipina woman got out from the car and told the girl that she was her mother’s friend and she will be the one to company her to her house so without hesitation, she got in the car with the woman and the foreigner. That was the last time when her classmates see her alive.

Yesterday morning around 7:55, she was found dead, naked, wrapped with white color cloth with three stone and gray cables snaked around the tiny bundle.

Her belongings were found around 9:00 a.m. These includes her bag, slippers, white blouse, an empty lunch box and her school bags with the notebooks in it. There is also the two-piece of P50 which was used to lure the child, according to the police.

Her father was surprised knowing that there are two pieces of P50 bills in her bag. He said that he did not even gave her a single peso because she always go home to eat her lunch and their house is just near the school.

The place where the child was abducted is about a hundred meters away from the school. No security guard or barangay tanod was assigned at the school at that time.

It was really a disaster for Pique’s family. I am praying that this will be solved sooner. I just hope that the people who killed the child will suffer from a punishment they worth from the monstrous deeds they’ve done.
